Description:
A 1 year project to develop a communications and performance management system for the Healthier Chichester Partnership.

Scope of Project:
Includes:-
· Safety
· Communications
· Marketing
· Public Relations
· Pathways
· Integrated Planning
· Performance Management

Planned Actions:
1. Promote the Healthier Chichester Partnership and its achievements, including development of website as an integrated information portal
2. Develop a register of stakeholders and key related networks
3. Develop an individually responsive communication system for those who are not internet users
4. Develop a learning resource
5. Develop an interactive performance assessment and accountability framework to demonstrate the value of the Healthier Chichester Partnership

Objectives:
Step 1 - Promote the Programme
Step 2 - Assess Needs and Priorities
Step 3 - Map Existing Services and Improve Information, Communications and Access
- Introduction of "smart working"
- Effective use of IT to support workplan
Step 4 - Sustain the Programme by Learning How to Continually Improve and Develop
Step 5 - Demonstrate Engagement and Progress

Milestones:
· July 05 - Promotion of HCP – website, leaflets etc
· Sep 05 – Register of stakeholders
· Sep 05 - Development of an interactive communications system
· Sep 05 - Development of a performance management system
· Oct 05 – Performance report

Outcomes:
1. Stakeholders are aware of the role and achievements of the Healthier Chichester Partnership
2. The Healthier Chichester Partnership provides a benchmark for other partnerships and networks

Achievements:
· Sustainable Communities Award application - Nov 05
· Pocket Guide produced and circulated
· Register established
· Website live
· Events calendar established - incomplete
· Performance system being tested
· Promotion campaign underway

Further Work:
· Further develop website
· Complete events calendar for next year
· Establish performance system
· Further work required to integrate with partner organisations performance systems + PSA targets etc
· More work on measuring added value
· Amber > Silver > Gold standard by 2006/7
· Audit of partership views
· Open Space

Lessons Learned:
- traditional organisation and management methods alone are not strong enough to build effective partnerships
- Information and Communications Management and Technology are key success factors
