Yes, Central Grammar School for Boys did move to Longsight.
Initially, the Manchester Central Grammar School for Boys was established on Whitworth Street in 1900.However, in 1958, the Central High School for Boys moved to Kirkmanshulme Lane in Longsight.
It then underwent several amalgamations and name changes, eventually becoming part of Ducie Central High School for Boys.The building on Kirkmanshulme Lane was later demolished in 2013 as part of a development plan for a sports village.
