Page Overview

Here is a quick tour of the main parts of your Protopage:

A: Page Title

Click on the text of the page title to edit the title of your page

B: Tabs

You can organize your widgets under different tabs. You can also group sets of tabs into categories. In the chapter entitled 'Page Sharing', you will learn how to share categories of tabs either publicly or privately with specific friends and colleagues.

C: Tab and category configuration

Click this button to group your tabs into different categories, and to configure sharing options.

D: and E: Widgets

Your page will consist of a number of widgets. 'C' is a clock widget, and 'D' is a news feed widget. There are hundreds of other types of widget, such as sticky note, to-do list, calendar and photo widgets. You will discover in the next chapter how to add more widgets to your page.

F: Quick searches

You can quickly search with your favorite search engines using the search box in the top right of the page. The search box expands to show all of your search engines when you hover your mouse over it. Click the 'Customize list' link to choose which search engines you would like to have in the list - there are over 750 to choose from!

G: Toolbar

You can use the toolbar to configure your page and add widgets to it, as you will discover in the next section...
