Welcome to Yr 10

Welcome to GCSE Art Yr 10. We will be starting the year with an introduction unit called 'Identity'. This unit will follow on from your portraits unit in year 9. You will get to explore a range of materials, skills and processes before you begin to work on your final unit toward the end of year 10. It would be helpful if you had access to materials at home as well as in school to support you with your coursework. Please speak to Mrs Wootton and the team if there are any issues with this.

Watercolour tubes experiment with layering no 2

Have a look at the w/c tutorials above. I have added two examples to help you. This would help to build up your Ao2 and Ao3 by showing your observational skills. Which one do you prefer? The second one had more drying time inbetween. Good luck Yr 11

Experiment 1 with watercolour tubes

For this experiment, I used less drying time in between layers. This meant that the colours bled into each other a little more.
