Mrs. Bell is a highly qualified, experienced educator. She has been working with children for over 12 years. Mrs. Bell is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in Elementary Education and as a Reading Specialist. She has worked in the Philadelphia School District and currently works in a private school for students with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. Mrs. Bell is also certified as a Wilson Reading Instructor, a program designed by Barbara Wilson for Dyslexia.

Mrs. Bell has been tutoring privately since she began teaching. She finds that students who are struggling in the classroom have better success in an environment they feel safe in and are able to have the teacher’s full attention. She wants to help her students find success. Mrs. Bell will also help parents find the resources needed for their children.

Mrs. Bell offers a complete diagnostic evaluation of your child’s reading ability. She will also discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your son or daughter and recommend the type of intervention needed. Mrs. Bell is also willing to work with your child’s teacher and plan together to improve your son or daughters academics.

Mrs. Bell has a strong background working with students who have trouble decoding text. She will improve your child’s phonemic awareness using a multi-sensory approach through the Wilson Reading Programs designed by Barbara Wilson. She will use specific reading skills and strategies to improve comprehension. Mrs. Bell can also help with your child’s writing skills.
