Her brothers and her were playing Cowboys and Indians one day and she was shot by the eye and is blind to this day in that eye. Her brother saved up money for her to get surgery. I think she was a teenager or arond that age.

My thought about Alice Walker is that she is a talented writer and a great person and that she is probably the best writer because of the book The Color Purple. She won a Pulitzer Award for this book this is probably one of her best books.
