Event summary

In a rapidly evolving world of e-learning we must support our organisations' most valuable and renewable resource: the creativity, innovation, and passion of people within. Alan’s workshop will examine the value that extended networks, social software, virtual worlds, and serendipity can offer. For the last four years, his organization, the New Media Consortium, has produced The Horizon Report, a concise scanning of the horizon of technologies that, given where we are at the moment, project which ones are going to be widely used in the arenas of education and creative expression. We will peek behind the curtain into the process and engage in a conversation to see how these horizons map to the education and technology landscape here in Australia, and probe the larger questions of -- what do we do with this look at a future?
