This site has been updated to include Training documents so that they can be printed at the library when I move offices in September 2016.

I will then request that I rejoin the library volunteers for 1 hr lunchtime support per day.

Privatisation

02/02/2018

This site no longer represent the workings of Northen Community Library it is the personal website of Alan Bramwell who now a NCL Power User.

Privatisation Statement

02/02/2018

Privatisation

Since February 2015  this site has been managed by Alan Bramwell who is Community Guardian (BA019)
Alan volunteered for Oliver Larke in 2014 and together they started the initiative of a job club. Alan  informed Oliver when he could no longer work onshore due to his work commitment that he would continue to work offshore and develop it under the banner Northenden Community Library.

This site has now been privatised but remains under the banner Community Guardians and can be accessed from the community Guardians website.

CV / Application

I am now announcing that I would like to come back on board at NCL as an ICT volunteer as advcertised on your website with Oliver Larke as my reference along with Eb at Hitec Computers Cheadle..

For the purpose of my CV i will announce that I worked at NCL from 2014 to 2015 as a volunteer on site Web Wizzard.

From 2015 to 2018 I have continued to work on the NCL website offline without superviion from the new line management and that I lost my line manager Oliver who was working with me on WWW initiatives.
My work for NCL since 2015 has been done under the banner of Community Guardian where I still operate for Manchester City Council.

From July 2017 I have continued to work in the voluntary sector at Hitec Computers in Cheadle where I have launched the Redcamel Brand.

Protopage is our flagship development tool which I have mastered developing the website for NCL.

From February 2015 I joined Unicom which is now Verastar located at 464 which is next door to NCL I am now well established in the Broadband Provisioning team - i could if required provide a Verastar reference.

I will be expecting references fro Oliver Larke if he can be located via NCL..

It is with this communication that I now request to volunteer for NCL again but this time servicing the entire library network.

Proposal

01/02/2018

Today I have re-engaged with Northenden Community Library and discussed the possibility of me volunteering as a Web Wizard.

I went to see them with a proposal that I re-engage with the volunteering team as a Web Wizzard.

I am pleased to announce that since me leaving the library in 2015 that they now have a web profile.

For access I have included a Bookmark in Stop Press.

I will continue to engage with the library on a daily basis to use the computer systems and conduct my web development for Hitec Computers Cheadle.

We have agreed the terms of a power library user that I will not use the free printservices that are on offer and that only occassionally that I will be allowed to print document up to ten pages with prior approval from the volunteering scheme.

As a power user of Northenden Communty library I am considering updating this websie The Eagle tab only should there be any interesting developments in our region.

I will be attending the library every day to use the sytems - it is a great service.

I really valued my time as a volunteer and web wizard for NCL - it gave me a CV whch enabled me to find employment.

Thank you NCL for the service that you supply to our community.

I can not rember the link to the NCL website - this portal will act as my entry point.

About The Eagle

The Eagle is a Monthly Report of what is going on in the world of our Community Library and our Digital Champion Alan.

Alan is actively trying to write an On-Line book but is having difficulties because his work over the past few years span a number of websites. He is busy bringing it together in to one publication. This will take months of effort so it starts here.

As a start he has produced a pyramid starting up with the Manchester Community Guardians web site. Alan registered this site to protect his community and offered to maintain it - but the powers taht be decided against it. So as an example of what can be done it resides till the initiative is taken on board.

01/02/2018

From 02/02/2018 the Recamel Systems web site will be maintained from Northenden Community Libray in my capacity as a Library Power User.

Alan

Hello World !

I am Alan and have been with NCL since 2014.

I did attend NCL 1 day per week but can no longer do that. There will be a time when I can attend the library which I will do with joy.

I now support the library remotely and have two goals:

1  To establish a Job Club.
2. To deliver IT courses into NCL.
3. To develop a .Com website for them.

I am Community Guardian (BA019) for Manchester City council and if you approach Oliver he will give you my details if you need one on one support. I am currently negotiating space in a local library for my one-on-one Saturday tuition. I have a teaching qualification and I am keen to show what I am doing so that I can gain further qualifications.

My Community Guardian Website is my entry into the LearnIT project which I am currently working on.

If you require support - simply ask.

A copy of my book - "The Smallest IT Book In The World' will soon be available for collection at NCL.

WWW Savvy

If you are looking to improve your WWW presence then please look at Acme Industries. This is a simple site which demonstrate that you can write material in the cloud and expose it to the WWW. It also demonstrates that you can set up a simple but effective forum.

About LearniT

This is your opportunity to pick up IT skills.

My name is Alan, I volunteer  as Community Guardian (BA019) and as a Digital Champion for Manchester City Council and until Feb 2015 I was at the Library  to support you with your needs. Now I help out remotely when advised by OIiver.

LearnIT is a current project that I am working on for my local community centre, I am helping to set up an IT Unit, I used to attend there on a weekly basis but now I offer my service remotely.

I hope that LearnIT will benefit you at the library too.

We value your feedback - if you have any comment please let Oliver know.

We are enthusiastic about this venture and will be advertising it in the community soon.

The first book is Dorothea's War by Dorothea Crewdson.

The second book is The Hand That First Held Mine by Maggie O'Farrell.

Here we will provide one-to-one support for people who wish to use Universal Job Match. We will provide support with registration, using UJM ,CV creation and the writing of covering letters.

It is yet to be decided on which day we will run the Job Club.

Stop Press

The Working Links site references here is now over ten years old - it contains references to agencies which were active when I was out of work in 2007.

However - there is good news - we are setting up out own employment agency. This will be a free service for Employers and Employees in Manchester.

The focus with Ambition is on Life Stories - Not Certification. We are interested on the courses which you attended that did not have certification. We are particularly interested in the courses which you dropped out from because they did not meet your expectation.  We are interested in your story.

On a sad note I would like to dedicate this to my son Adam who died in 2016, Adam was a music producer in his free time and a salesman in his Profession. Adam has nearly 100 million YouTube views and is typical of the young person we are looking for. Adam dropped out of Huddersfield and Leeds University because they did not meet his expectations. We supported Adam in his career choice and was known as being one of the happiest people in his circle of friends.

To join Foundation Consulting you will have to register as a Limited Company and be Responsible for your own Taxes.
We accept that you may have full time employment and that this may just be a stepping stone for you to reach your Ambition of finding employment in the IT Industry.
