Sure, here are 49 questions a Samaritan might ask when dealing with a suicide call:

  1. What is going on right now that is making you feel suicidal?
  2. Have you ever felt this way before?
  3. What have you tried to do to cope with these feelings in the past?
  4. Are you feeling like you have a plan to hurt yourself?
  5. Do you have access to the means to hurt yourself?
  6. Have you told anyone else about how you are feeling?
  7. Are you feeling like you are in immediate danger?
  8. Is there anything I can do to help you right now?
  9. What are your thoughts about the future?
  10. Do you have any reasons to keep living?
  11. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  12. What are your hopes and dreams for the future?
  13. What are your relationships like with your family and friends?
  14. Are you currently employed or in school?
  15. Do you have any hobbies or interests?
  16. What are your thoughts about death?
  17. What are your thoughts about religion or spirituality?
  18. Have you ever been diagnosed with a mental health condition?
  19. Are you currently taking any medication for a mental health condition?
  20. Have you ever been hospitalized for a mental health condition?
  21. Have you ever attempted suicide before?
  22. What is your support system like?
  23. Do you have anyone you can talk to about how you are feeling?
  24. Are you willing to seek professional help?
  25. Would you like me to help you find a therapist or counselor?
  26. Would you like me to call 911 or take you to the emergency room?
  27. Do you have any questions for me?
  28. Is there anything else I can do to help you?
  29. Thank you for talking to me.
  30. I am here for you if you need to talk again.
  31. You are not alone.
  32. There is help available.
  33. You are loved.
  34. You are important.
  35. You matter.
  36. You are not a burden.
  37. You are not alone in this.
  38. There is hope.
  39. You can get through this.
  40. You are strong.
  41. What are the things that make you happy?
  42. Who are the people in your life that you care about the most?
  43. What are your favorite activities to do?
  44. What are your goals for the future?
  45. What are you good at?
  46. What are you proud of yourself for?
  47. What are some things that you are looking forward to?
  48. What are some things that you are grateful for?
  49. What is one thing that you can do today to make yourself feel better?

It is important to remember that these are just a few examples of questions a Samaritan might ask. The most important thing is to listen to the caller and to let them know that you are there for them and that you care.
