Design House Standards

There is a lot more in this design of Q Core than the simple administration of The Golf Hub - I am setting the standards for any commercial applications that might come our way..

Estimate for Nimrod 24/06/2021

My app will “deliver a directory of protopage golf club users into the golfing community”.

http:://redcamelsystems.com/n/undex.html Nimrod

This is the immediate initial requirement which is public we will then follow it up with Q Core to odd password processing by establishment figure.

Followed by Shady Hollow which is a virtual cemetery as many members of golf clubs have their ashes laid on the course.

Here is my usual request to my Senior Programmer…… This would take the form of a one page PSR - Program Service Request - I would leave the design up to the programmer.  Where complex code was involved I would do a design Specification of the formulae.   Not the reams of information that I send you.

Please convert excel spread sheet into a sql server application with menus add Amed delete and enquiry functions 0 Enquiry by Country / County and Hub

I would have thought you could knock out :

1 a menue in 1/2 hour
2. An Insert transaction in an hour
3 An amend transaction in 3 hours
4 A delete Transaction in 2 hours
5 An enquiry by country in 2 hours
6 an enquiry by county in 1 hour
7 an enquiry by hub 2 hour
8 Structure table insert / amend / delete cones say 2 1/2 hours.

Total 14 hours - but I bet with your experience and portfolio / examples you could knock it off in a day.

Q core is something different I am going to have to write a feasibility document / design review document to see if I have the correct tables.
I have included job accounting in my schema - that is a long way down the track that will be subject to feasibility too.

As Paul wrote the initial Q I would like him to take responsibility for Q Core. It could be as little as a days coding but it is complex.

Thanks for your feedback I am trying to make like simple by doing a complete specification view by view / class module by class module

Q Core / Shady Hollow

Richard

I am glad that you have looked at thegolfhub.net which shows Magnacarta

What you are writing is a replacement for Magna Carta

But as I have had to specify what is required I have gone to the point where I have included the Development of Q Core and Shady Hollow.

I have decided that Q Core is as simple as a switch case.

Have you seen http://redcamelsystems/q/index.html yet Q

I am writing the specifications for the individual Views and class modules at http://protopage.com/richardgilbertinfonet

It took me about 3 hours to knock Road Runner up  I will need to go back to it to write the narratives on the screen - I jhave not done that yet.

I will do it after you have agreed that Richard Gilbert Infonet if the way forward that you want.

If not you are going to have to do small goole documents that I can follow.

Thank You for sticking with me - this is turning out to be really simple.

More Simple than I thought.

I have put all the other transaction that I have given you in the past in the restricted zone - there is interesting stuff that I an certain you have not been reading. Hd you read all that I have been doing I an certain that you would have shown more interest.

Anyway we are getting there I am doing the design that you want I may go to the extreme and do some PSUDO CODE for you.

This should be making your life really easy - I wanted you to play a major part of the design so that it would be your product.

I suggest that you call your domain name RichardGilbert.uk as this development now contains significantly more than Magna Carta it includes Shady Hollow and will go on to include Purchase ledger / Sales Ledger Nominal Ledger and Payroll / Personnel / Hr But it will all be simple stuff and should take no time at all to complete.

There is more effort in the specification than in the doing.

Thanks for your prompt response / Input.
Al

I need to ask you your thoughts on the ledgers !!!!!

24/06/2021 10:45:00 Nimrod / Pegasus

/ Hi Rich

I am working so hard at the moment - I have been up all night - can’t sleep with it

Check out redcamelsystems for Nimrod and pegasus agile.
That should give you focus as it is just two tables

Q Core has got up to 14 tables  and needs to be scheduled.

There is probably about 5 hours work to top as it is all simple sql stuff.

Thanks for all your feedback you have given me the drive to program all the systems that I have been thinking about doing for may years.

Could you answer me this :

If your boss came to you with am Excel spreadsheet at 9 am I’m the morning and asked you to pencil out a system for him by 10 am what views / password control / registration / ;login would recommend.

Al

Then if you were asked to attend a meeting at 2pm with a client to discuss costs - how many man hours would you say.

Thanks

CLSignatures

Signatures

When establishing the Protopage Login Passwords there has to be signature processing.

There will be 4 variables :

Hyper Administrator = H
Administrator  = A
Competition Administrator = C
User = U

These four elements will need concatenation into a string for use in a switch case.

A Switch case of Vale HACU
Will have System MessaGe H exposed / System Message A / System Message C exposed and System Message U exposed.

The value of System Message H will be : The Primary Password is H (where h is derived from a control table containing H and the Password value.

Where the case is (space)(space)(space)U Then only system Message U is Exposed.

CLSelection

Rich sticky notes

Rich text note

Four variables are required to determine access rights

These are H A U and C

The Master table will contain fields :

1. Email Address
2. Password
3. Hyper Administrator Flag
4 Administrator Flag
5 User Flag
C Competition Administrator Flag

These will be used by a switch case in CLSignatures to determine what system messages to display..

I had been toding with the switch case to control what views/menus to link to but have decided against it. However if you think that this is a better option then let me know.

CLAccess Denied

Rich sticky notes

Rich text note

This process will be attached to every selection button on the system.

We will use CSSelection to determine what applications can be accessed .

For an example if a client only has access right then ghupdate to hub details will be denied and club ghdeletion ill be denied

CLJobAccounting

Rich sticky notes

Rich text note

A forms load should record start information
A forms exit will record the exit information
The difeerential is the tiime used - using hayes table information calculate the cost.
To determione the cost you will need to know the login value of the establishment code being used.

rgghbycountry

Rich sticky notes

ghlogin

The View GHLOGIN should perford class module signatures to expose what Passwords are available.

rgghbycounty

Rich sticky notes

Rich text note

Note : The Login Establishment code will be used in job accounting to determine the cost of transaction.

ghlogin shoud contain a text box for userid input

The processing should then go through CLSelection to determine what Protopage Pages are needed.

Then throuhgh CLSignatures to determine the system messages.

ghlogin requires 5 text boxes for systems messages

1. System Message 1
2. System Measage H
3 System Message A
4 System Message U
5 System Message C

Sytem Messages are as follows :

1. Your passwords are now available - Remember to click the chevrons on the right hand side og protopage to expose your pages.

H - Your Hyper administrator passwors is : WS-H
A - Your Administrator Password is : WS-A
U - Your User Password is WSU
C - Your Competition Administrator Password is : WS-C

Where WS-H ETC is woking storage and is used to access the following password table

H / Master
 A / Admin
U / Lessons
C / Competitions

We do not need to think about this just yet but thee will be the time when we look at proportional costing and the output to the nominal ledger.

Tables

Rich sticky notes

Rich text note

The Priority is complete Table N1 and N2 as SQL Server processing with full SQL Server functionality :
Insert
Amend
Delete
Enquiries By Country / By County / By Hub

Q Core needs to be discussed with Paul  ; - Q is his project
Zues can be started as Google Tables as can Quo Vadiz and Shady Hollow

Table content can be found in SubSchema
